Much has been written about failures due to GPR, generally about single houses with multiple grounds. But what if there is not just a single house, but multiple houses all potentially interconnected via a single piece of equipment, as is often the case? For example, homes connected to a Fiber-To-The Home distribution point (FTTHdp) unit. In this case equipment failures could be caused by insulation failure due to GPR caused by lightning, as will be explained. This is a posthumous presentation delivered by one of Al Martin’s colleagues.
