Don Barnickel is President of Barnickel Telecom Laboratories, LLC, providing consulting services in wireless and free-space optical technologies, solutions architecture, and facility assessment to improve electromagnetic resiliency against the threat of EMP. TSS, LLC is one of his clients. He is a major contributor to the latest revision of the ATIS EMP standard.

In 2017, Don was asked to build the AT&T Labs Science and Technology Center in Middletown, N.J. and published a companion Science, Technology, and Innovation magazine for the grand opening. This provided Don with the opportunity to research historical content that provided further insight into nuclear and electromagnetic hardening in the telecom industry.

Don is also presently providing consulting services to TSS, LLC.
