Ken McKinney has been with UL Solutions for 29 years in various technical roles.  He is currently a Principal Engineer responsible for Low and Medium Voltage Transformers, Class 2 Power Supplies and Fault-Managed Power Systems.  In that role, he is responsible for technical interpretations in certification standards, review of certification projects, ensuring the Technical Competency of UL Solutions staff and interfacing with Industry members.   Ken is currently the Chair of Code Making Panel 1 for NFPA 70 – National Electrical Code. Ken has presented at various technical meetings and is a member of UL Solutions’ Electrical Council and a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff.He is also a member of IEC TC-96 for small transformers and power supplies.

In his free time, Ken enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports and traveling.
